Great Coverage! An XMR 1000r by its nature doesn't have much of any protection and is for slicing through the mud and water. But then someone like me comes along and wants that long wheel base and power for East Tennessee rocks and trails so naturally a skid plate is the way to go. After research it was obvious Iron Baltic had it figured out for this machine model and many others. When complete this kit looks bullet proof under the machine and I've already tested it aggressively and am very happy with the results in the technical rock garden type terrain. Unless you are super mechanically inclined and have great patience, prepare yourself for a bit of a challenging install with instructions that leave a bit to be desired. There are several points in the install where a 2nd person is very helpful and improves efficiency. Solid engineering done and fitment is tight with this kit with all critical components previously exposed now being protected including the footwells which I thought was a great idea!

I purchased the Disk Harrow along with the receiver mount Electro/Hydraulic system. Shipping was reasonable, it was drop shipped in a substantial wooden crate. Putting it together was a couple hours . I searched the internet and found Utube videos on putting it together. It would have been better if Iron Baltic had a video on their site showing actual putting thing together , but they just show after assembly. In the field actually using this to disk fields I had fairly good results. There was a learning curve however. I have no experience using a tractor or disk . I attached this unit to the receiver of my Polaris General 1000cc 4x4 atv. First field at my hunting club , field had been bush hogged and was covered in grass about 5 inches high, but dead it had been sprayed . Having the Dish Harrow set at 15 degree angle it cut really well, it just left a gap between where it cut of about 2 foot wide, no problem the next round I positioned the cut area to run on the gap and that worked well. I also found that if I ran a slight side to side wave instead of a straight line that it cut even better…here is where my lack of knowledge came into play…. Within about an hour of cutting I heard a metallic tonk sound . Upon inspection I found that the weaving side to side did cut well it put too much torque on the vertical part of the lift bar and broke a bolt..so home I went … lesson learned. I stopped and bought some more bolts/nuts/ washers (6 more) incase this happened again. The next weekend I went back and finished the field… this thing did a great job, just have to keep running over the area and eventually cuts it like I wanted. Then to the next field . The fields that I am disking are not soft, nor pre cut, they range from a qtr acre to half acre. Takes over an hour going over and over to get them the way I want them. I also found that you need to pick up the disk at the end of a run and not turn sharp with the disk down… you will break bolts(I Broke more learning this) like I said earlier never used a tractor or disk before. Once you learn how to run this on your ATV it really does a good job, it just does not do it quickly. I also found that when you start a straight line with the disk down you can bump the down button on your control and it cuts better.. but you have to remember to pick up the Disk Harrow before you turn sharp to position yourself for the next run. Also when you put the Disk Harrow together use loc-tight and an impact tool to put the Big bolt on that holds all the disks together… I learned the hard way that hand tight with a wrench will not hold and will come apart and will ruin your day. The only thing that I will add to this setup is I am going to make a T-bar to fit into the 2” square hitch opening behind the disks to put three chisel points to take care of the gap that is left when this cuts… Other than that this has been a very useful tool, I would recommend this to anyone that needs something to attach and carry to places that you have greenfields that a tractor can’t reach….Go ahead and purchase some extra bolts /washers and nuts you might just need them and it is better to have them than not. I really love the quality and coverage of this skid plate for my CForce 600. Fairly easy install with good instructions. Only issue I had was the bolts I got that go through the winch fairlead were not the right size. Nothing a quick trip to the hardware store couldn’t fix!

I really do love the skid plate. It looks great, covers every square inch under the bike, and the instructions made the installation cake! I’d say it took me just over an hour to install. The reason I gave it a 4/5 is because the drain hole for the front differential is about 2” off, an error I corrected with my dremel tool, I just wish I didn’t have to.

Overall the kit was well made, fit perfectly. I made 2 modifications when installing the kit. The 2 bolts on the front A-arm plates directly below the cv shaft I shortened by about 5mm, personally felt the bolt tip was a little close for comfort. Also the oil filter hole I cut bigger to retain the factory oil filter protection guard. Other than that didn’t have any problems.

Great product, the large tires and rugged build has really been a game changer for us. The log hauler paired with our UTV has allowed us to step up our firewood production, hauling multiple firewood poles at a time! We also use this to bring in solo logs to our bandsaw mill. 22 Honda rubicon deluxe. Very happy. I will say I read on the reviews a negative review about trimming the front a arm plastics cause they rub when wheel turned. There are plastic covers that’s bolt on to hub, I was weary at first thinkin they held something on but they don’t. Bolt on just like all the underside factory plastics. So yeah if you leave those on they will rub when you turn. Instructions were about as good as can be very dumbed down with pictures. Also I was worrying about standing the bike straight up when working on it. Don’t be. Put your park break on and stand it up. Great product very happy.

After reading several reviews, I ordered a full set of Iron Baltic plastic skid plate for my 2022 Outlander 850 Max XT. Placed the order early on a Monday and it arrived on Thursday afternoon! All of the parts were there, are very well labelled, and described in the instructions. Took me several hours to assemble, but all the parts fit perfectly and are really well made. No drilling, no rivets. Just basic tools, patience, and time. My only complaint is a few more 'zoom' pictures needed on a couple brackets (eg Step 2 Pos.23). Was hard to tell which way those went. Also the last step should be installing the rear center plate AFTER the left and right rear trailing arm protectors are done. Otherwise excellent product and highly recommend.

Well and professional made, definitely worth the money. Would buy it again. Only thing what would be an option is a brake activated by a lever and a cable like at the old hay trailers for tractors. So it can be used driving down a hill or used as a hand brake to secure the trailer at a hill. But as mentioned this would be a nice option.

Ordering was easy, the plates are great, the hardware, the welding and the instructions are great. Your customer service is one of the best in the world. I had some modifications to make, not because of the kit, but some of my CFmoto brackets were bent from riding it before I installed the kit. Not sure about other atv manufacturers, but with Cfmoto, you should run a tap through all the nuts welded to the frame. Your hardware is perfect, but the hardware on the atv has a looser tolerance, plus any rust or dirt. Iron Baltic on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being the best gets a solid 10 for price, delivery and quality. I would give your customer service higher than 10 because they are absolutely one of the best in the world. I will share this social media and I will recommend your company and product to everyone I know or to anyone that asks about the products you sell. First time out I did not pay enough attention to the sound of the engine RPM. I tried to mow way to fast and as a result ruined a set of belts and the tightening roller. Had to order new parts and install them to get the mower back in action. Having learned to listen carefully to the RPM I slowed down and cut through high thick grass no problem. I am very satisfied with the flail mower and appreciate the ease of getting parts when I needed to fix my mistake. Thank you for a fine product and support.

Installation took a day. All the parts were supplied in box and shipped quickly. The instructions were on printer paper. Aside from two part numbers missing, it was clear and I was able to figure it out. It is obviously better protection then stock just by looking.

Happy with them now that they’re on, but I had to cut the front piece quite a bit to get it to fit around the front bumper that comes from CFMOTO. Be great if there was an option that accommodated the bumper.

Instructions left a little to be desired but if you have any kind of mechanical ability you can figure out what bolts go where. Other than the instructions, I feel they are holding up fairly well. They’ve taken some small bumps from stumps and haven’t cracked or split. A big plus is being able to access the diff drains. Other skid plates make it very difficult to get to the drains.
